Drug Discovery, Clinical Trials and Emerging Therapies

The development of safe and effective treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia requires collaboration across discovery research, translational science and clinical investigation. This session examines therapeutic targets, drug development, repurposed medicines, clinical trial design and emerging treatment strategies. It also considers challenges related to patient selection, outcome measurement, safety, accessibility and long-term treatment effectiveness.
