Mild Cognitive Impairment and Cognitive Decline

Mild cognitive impairment and age-related cognitive decline represent important areas for early recognition, evaluation and intervention. This session addresses changes in memory, attention, language, executive functioning and other cognitive abilities that may occur before dementia or alongside neurological, psychiatric and medical conditions. It also considers factors influencing progression, stability, recovery and individual differences in cognitive ageing.

Abstract Scope and Participation

Abstracts may explore cognitive assessment, longitudinal studies, subjective cognitive decline, mild cognitive impairment subtypes, progression to dementia, cognitive reserve, functional outcomes and early interventions. Contributions are welcome from neurologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, geriatricians, neuroscientists, primary-care professionals, therapists, nurses, epidemiologists, researchers, students and professionals involved in cognitive health, ageing and early-stage memory concerns.
