A case report is a complete account of a patient's symptoms, signs, diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up. Case reports typically describe a unique or unexpected occurrence, and as a result, they remain one of the bedrocks of medical advancement, generating a slew of new medical ideas. Some papers provide a comprehensive evaluation of the relevant literature. The case report is a quick way for busy doctors to communicate when they don't have the time or resources to conduct large-scale research.
