Alzheimer's disease and dementia are neurodegenerative conditions characterized by progressive cognitive decline. Brain imaging techniques such as MRI and PET scans can reveal structural changes or abnormal protein deposits indicative of Alzheimer's. Biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid or blood, like amyloid beta and tau proteins, are also used for diagnosis. Advances in AI and machine learning are enhancing detection accuracy by analyzing complex data patterns from brain scans and genetic information. Research continues to refine diagnostic tools, aiming for earlier and more precise identification of Alzheimer's, offering hope for effective treatments in the future.
